GPK Series – Alex Brundle ‘One to One’

Reigning European Le Mans Series Champion and multiple World Endurance Championship race winner, Alex Brundle, gives his thoughts on the new GPK Series after spending a day testing the kart at Whilton Mill.

Alex had a karting career before moving to cars and has raced in Daytona events over the last few years.

As well as loving the kart itself Alex says he is happy that “a series like this has fallen into their [Daytona Motorsport] hands.”

Throwback Thursday – Euro Challenge Senior Final 2012, Genk

With the Rotax Max Euro Challenge kicking off at Genk, Belgium this weekend we throwback to arguably one of the best races the Euro Challenge has had at the Genk circuit.

Earlier this week in our 5 years, 5 moments article we questioned whether the Senior Pre-Final from that year was the best Euro Challenge of all time, but what about the final that followed?

British drivers Sean Babington, Ed Brand and Harrison Scott were the three main protagonists to contend for victory as they did in the Pre-Final. Between them there were around 15 lead changes and almost 25 overtakes caught on camera with the race going to the last lap, last corner!

Question is, was it better than the Pre-Final?

Superkarts at Spa!

Superkart drivers from Britain and Europe sampled the great circuit of Spa this past Monday. Organised by Eric Severe of Mediasuperkart, the drivers ventured out in cold, wind and rain. Track temperature was 8 degrees Celsius and air temperature was 10 degrees Celsius. As well as providing the drivers with a memorable experience, Severe wanted to show that superkart drivers could lap the circuit safely.

With former British Superkart Association chairman Rob Willshire among the spectators, the fastest drivers in the Division 1 karts lapped in 2 mins 26 seconds while the 250 singles accomplished 2 mins 45 seconds, that’s only a few seconds of a GT3 Car!

Now for your viewing pleasure,
