I’ve always loved motorsport of all kinds but particularly karting. Growing up I had a heavy involvement, with my whole family taking part. Infact my very first baby outfit was a race suit! I always watched and supported so many friends and family in karting until a couple of years ago going back to my local track made me think twice about just watching. Speaking to my dad about it would soon become the hard part. After a good couple of years of perseverance I finally persuaded my dad to buy a beautiful Tony Kart and it all began. I’ve been inspired by so many people to race. Particularly my dad, he has always been a huge part of my life and always gives me advice and support on karting and I couldn’t thank him enough for the opportunity! Dario, Marino and Paul have also been great influences to me and shows there is a Castol oil in our blood! Being the first girl in my family interested in karting is some how even more appealing to me. Susie Wolff and Danica Patrick are two women who are great role models for me and are perfect example of women who have raw driver talent.

At first karting seemed extremely exhilarating to me and turned out exactly like that when I first testing in Junior Rotax a couple of years ago, and instantly wished Id wanted to race sooner! Karting is fun and exciting but takes a lot of hard work and dedication which pays off in the long run. Most of all I love the idea of spending more time with my family around the karting environment and carrying on the Franchitti history in karting!
