Ricciardo To Aid New Kart Development

Red Bull Racing F1 ace Daniel Ricciardo will be the face of the newly merged Birel ART brand with the international squad racing the Ricciardo Kart. The Australian driver will also be involved in the complete design, and development of the kart which will be launched in November. The kart will compete in all categories including Rotax, KF and KZ gearbox. The ACR concern, which organises the Formula KGP championship, will be the sole UK importer for the Ricciardo kart. “I am very happy to be able to kick off this project,” Ricciardo said. “I grew up racing karts and even when I moved up to single-seaters, I never stopped supporting this sport, always enjoying some kart racing in my spare time. Being able to follow the design and construction of a kart from a blank sheet to track debut is an adventure that’s very fascinating.”

Kart Track For Sale

Hugely popular Essex kart track for sale A rare opportunity to purchase a popular and profitable indoor kart circuit is now available through leading business property specialists, Dedman Gray Commercial. The owners of Rayleigh Karting, the premier indoor track in Essex, have put the business up for sale after enjoying over two decades of success at its location next to the A127, near Rayleigh Weir. When the circuit opened in 1992, indoor karting was a relatively new leisure activity, but with the success of British Formula One drivers such as Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton, both ex-karters, the business proved to be a huge hit with customers from across Essex and Greater London. However, after the tragic death of their father, Les, and mum Tania being hit by a car in Southend a year later, directors Toby and Dan Goodrich have made the decision to sell the business as a going concern and explore different career paths.“I started working here the day I left school,” says Toby. “Now I’m 38, have a young family and would just like to do something different with my life.” He adds: “As a family we’ve worked very hard to develop the business to what it is today and we have a superb team here, several of whom have been loyal to us for many years. So we’re keen to see someone come in, take the business forward with the guys here and continue to make improvements to the raceway.”

As well as catering for adult groups, Rayleigh Karting is a terrific venue for youngsters aged between ten and sixteen, offering them the opportunity to put their racing skills to the test in appropriately sized and powered machines.Gerard Bagioni, who is handling the sale for Dedman Gray Commercial says Rayleigh Karting ticks many of the boxes for entrepreneurs looking for an exciting new investment: “You don’t need to be Jeremy Clarkson or The Stig to appreciate what a fabulous opportunity this sale represents. The business is in excellent health, with last year’s turnover exceeding £588,000, with a gross profit of £514,000 and a net profit of more than £226,000. When you factor in its longevity and proximity to the A127 and M25, plus the size of the population on and near its doorstep, you can see that this is a seriously good proposition.”He adds: “In 2012, the Goodrich family introduced a bridge to the track layout and this instantly added fresh appeal to the customer base. You only have to look at the enormously positive comments on TripAdvisor to see what people think about their experiences at Rayleigh Karting, which highlights Rayleigh Karting’s appeal to potential buyers. We are already receiving a lot of interest from people involved in the motorsport industry, including track owners and drivers, who are looking to realise the dream of buying their own circuit. It is also extremely attractive in its own right as a straight forward business opportunity.”For more information, please call Gerard on 01702 311 037 or click on www.dedmangray.co.uk/business-sales
