Super One 2015 Review – Part 8

Senior Max – Sam Marsh

‘DHR regain title’

Strawberry came into this season a firm favourite to take the title, their driver line up of Connor Hall, Luke Knott (who had just switched from DHR) and Gary Donnelly seemed almost impossible to beat. However, DHR had the highest seed Sam Marsh representing them, but with no real rear gunner how how would he get on? For much of the season Marsh played second best to Strawberry, but his title was won by the fact he always found a way to beat at least one of the Strawberry drivers at every round! Whilst they would run into trouble he would keep his nose clean. He dominated at Rissington and Whilton Mill where Marsh eventually won the title but I think the Strawberry boys for some time may question how they lost this title back to DHR!

Special Mention – Charlie Turner

After a disappointing season last year and injuries putting him out for most of the winter, Charlie Turner did a hugely impressive job to finish 5th in a highly competitive Senior Max field. He probably surprised most people taking the fight to the dominant Strawberry and DHR teams, putting Protrain back on the map!
