Asia-Pacific Champs Once a year the top teams make their way to Japan to compete in the CIK Asia-Pacific Champs at Suzuka. ICA is for locals only but Formula A is open to all. In one of the best finals ever seen at the event, Martin Plowman took a superb win, the first international victory for the Zanardi chassis which had been launched at the World Championships just two months earlier.
Zanardi Track Test When a name like Zanardi becomes involved with a karting chassis there is plenty of media attention. When that chassis then wins an international competition with a British driver then it really is a story. In this issue you'll find a track test of this new Italian chassis and also the chance to win some goodies signed by Zanardi himself!
Show News Just a week apart, the International Kart Show at Telford and the London Kart Show at Sandown Park were both a great success. We were at both exhibitions and there's 12 pages in this issue devoted to bringing you all the sights and news.
Robazzi Interview Bob Constanduros paid a visit to Tonykart to interview its charismatic boss Roberto Robazzi. Find out what he thinks about the introduction of 125cc engines into CIK racing, karters moving into cars too early and whether the Redspeed is in fact a Michael Schumacher kart.
Vintage Kart Olympics Interest in historic karting is on the increase and, perhaps not surprisingly, the biggest interest of all is in the country where karting first started, the United States. We have a report on the third annual Vintage Kart Olympics which took place in Missouri and featured karts dating back to the very early days.
