Autosport International Mid-January saw the annual Autosport International show take place at the NEC, Birmingham. This motorsport exhibition has a dedicated karting area where existing karters can see all the latest gear, and potential newcomers can find out about our sport. There's six pages in this issue to give you a flavour of what was on show.
Rotax MAX Grand Finals The fifth annual top meeting for the Rotax classes and the fifth victory for a driver from South Africa! This time it was the turn of Wesleigh Orr who beat last year's winner Christiano Morgado into 2nd place. The UK again performed well with Tristram Oman and David Bellchambers 3rd and 4th while Adam Christodoulou came 2nd in Juniors but a win will have to wait for another year.
Davide Fore Profile At La Conca in September, Davide Fore secured his third 100cc World Championship title. Quite an achievement and one that he was happy to discuss with Bob Constanduros.
Kart2000 Show Probably the largest pure karting show in Europe, if not the world, takes place in January at Offenbach in Germany. We sent Mary-Ann Horley and Chris Walker along to see what was turning heads.
John Dent Interview Back in the early days of karting it wasn't unusual for drivers to sometimes build and race their own machines. One of the best at creating specials was John Dent and Dave Bewley caught up with him recently to discuss his early outfits and in particular a 175mph jet engined kart built specially for Karting magazine!
