'O' Plate Three Sisters The first major UK championship of the year took place at Three Sisters at the end of February. The ABkC ‘O' Plate winners get to wear the number ‘0' until next year's event to signify their victory. Justin Edgar (100 National), Robert Souster (ICA), James Bradshaw (JICA) and Jason Edgar (Formula A) now need new number plates.

 Winter Cup South Garda in Italy hosts the Winter Cup every February, the now traditional international season opener. A large contingent of British drivers made the trip and put in some impressive showings, none more so than Ben Hanley who notched up his third victory at the event.
 Lotta Hellberg The karting world was saddened to hear of the passing away of Lotta Hellberg who lost her battlle with cancer, aged just 34. Lotta was an accomplished racer (Formula Super A European Championship round winner) and a key figure in the successful P.D.B. Racing team. Our tribute is on page 10.
 Words of Wisdom Starting out in karting can be tricky so Dave Bewley decided to ask four prominent figures what advice they could give 8 year old Ellis Raine who recently won the use of a JKH WTP Cadet outfit in Rowrah's Racing for Buttons scheme. Paul Carr, Mark Litchfield, Chris Walker and John Surtees had plenty to say.
