  • Salbris Qualifier
The ICA & JICA European Championships consist of two part, Qualifiers and a Final. Qualifiers are held on the same weekend at three different circuits across Europe for different nationalities with the top 24 in each class from each venue going through to the Finals in Italy a few weeks later. James Calado booked his place by winning both ICA races at Salbris but disaster befell Will Stevens in JICA who was taken out while leading the first Final and then stalled in the second Final and did not qualify. Read how your favourite Brit got on.

  • Larkhall
Summerlee Raceway, or Larkhall as it is better known, is one of the UK's oldest kart circuits and it's where some of the leading lights of motorsport from recent years honed their skills. Old boys include David Coulthard, Dario Franchitti, Colin McRae, Allan McNish and Paul Di Resta. Allison Lock profiles this historic circuit and its resident club, the West of Scotland Kart Club.

  • Biland Kart-GP
Nine Brits made the trip to Sosnova in the Czech Republic for the Biland Kart-GP international meeting. Drivers used their own chassis while engines were provided by the organisers. All the Brits performed well with Keiran Brookfield an excellent 2nd, James Bean 5th and Sarah Barrow and Linda Playfair making it into the top 10.

  • What Makes a Fast Kart?
For his final year project at Oxford Brookes University, Luke Green developed a lap time simulation model and applied it to the performance of Jonathan Neville's Super ICC kart around Kimbolton. Don't be put off by the mathematical equations, the simulated results showed good correlation with data logged from the kart and there's some interesting findings.
