Capital Karts upgrades attracts Global interest

London, UK, 9th June 2016

A track refurbishment at a London go karting track has led to the track’s owners, Capital Karts, being approached by global businesses interested in having their new track barrier system installed in their own upcoming projects.

The existing track was already considered the longest indoor karting track in the UK, and the latest changes have further cemented its position. The Capital Karts refurbishment ran between January and April 2016, widening the track by up to 4 metres for improved overtaking, and completely altering one section of the course. Alastair Flynn, Capital Karts’ MD, said “We asked our customers to rate the different track sections and the section with the least positive comments was completely changed.” He went on to say that the new section “is now regarded as the best complex on the track.”

Because the track improvements have seen the average speed increase, it was important that safety standards were also improved. Strict national safety guidelines are overseen by the National Karting Association and Flynn went on to say that the new system “exceeds all National Karting Association requirements.”
