With the TW Steel DMAX Championship due to kick off in February we decided to take a look at the changes being introduced in 2016
New Team Endurance Championship!
This year Daytona are introducing a brand new concept called the Power Maxed Team Endurance Championship in the summer. The series will consist of four rounds in the summer with 2-4 drivers permitted in each team. Each round will consist of a 30 minute open practise session (including 10 minutes qualifying) and then a 2.5 hour race.
There is a maximum of 30 teams permitted in the Enduro Championship so teams are being advised to sign up sooner rather than later to avoid disappointment.
Full details on the series can be found here – http://www.daytonamax.co.uk/powermax/index.php
New Class for 2016!
DMAX are also introducing a brand new Super Heavy class for the first time. The Super Heavy’s are set to be running in with the Heavy’s but will score their own championship points and will be awarded their own trophies on race days.
The anticipated minimum weight for this class is around 105kgs however they will confirm the actual minimum weight limit once the majority of drivers have booked for Round 1
Apart from that it’s business as usual in the DMAX Championship and all information on the series (including a 2016 calendar) and new super heavy class can be found on the link below.
