Daytona Milton Keynes, launch event held on the 1st of June got off to a battling start with endurance racing, a champagne reception and an awards ceremony.
More than 100 guests came to celebrate the opening of the newly refurbished Pavilion and its tenth anniversary in Central Milton Keynes.
Daytona’s Pavilion, one of the most recognised buildings in Milton Keynes with its distinctive candy striped exterior has seen its largest renovation since 2000.
The red and white tent-shaped exterior is now a state of the art technology-led centre for a new and improved customer and business experience.
The mezzanine floor has been extended by 50%, which has created additional space but still retains the distinctive balcony viewing area along with a new bar.
The 11-acre venue one of UK’s premier kart racing companies hosts the ultimate venue in hospitality and conference facilities.
New sign up kiosks provide high-speed registration capabilities for both new and repeat drivers, bringing Daytona to the forefront of karting technology in the UK. The new changing facilities together with air-conditioned briefing rooms have been designed to add to the build-up of the Daytona experience.
As well as being the first point of contact for customers, the Pavilion’s second offering acts as a centre for businesses complete with free parking, conference room, complimentary high speed wireless internet connection, LCD screens airing BBC News 24 and DVDs, all day catering facilities and even a car wash.
The conference room is able to support up to 75 people and offers vital technology required for business presentations to colleagues or clients. The smart and unique location, central to a key business district, offers the perfect stage to impress potential new business associates before they head out onto the track for some real racing.
In fact, that’s exactly what Daytona is promoting explains General Manager Mike Scudamore, “We are in a good position to offer local, regional and national businesses the chance to use the Daytona facilities. We’re already among the best tracks in the UK but we anticipate this investment will take us to another level.”
Daytona’s Pavilion will also appeal to individual people who will be able to drop in to use the venue’s complimentary wireless Internet access to catch up on emails. The new catering facilities gives business people everything they could possibly need – they can even have their car valeted while they wait and relax in the new lounge area.
