FKS preparing for exclusive awards at Autosport show

Formula Kart Stars is the only karting Championship supported by Formula One Managment and Teams. It is set to take to the stage once again at the coveted Autosport Awards Evening, on 6th December.

To continue emphasising that Formula Kart Stars has unrivalled links to the highest tiers of motorsport, FKS 2015 Champions will be presented with their bespoke trophies live on stage in front of the Worlds media and the most influential people in the motorsport community.

With a history of presenting drivers with opportunities to progress their careers, it was at this very same event that a young former FKS ‘Old Boy’ and newly crowned Cadet Champion Lewis Hamilton first met McLaren boss Ron Dennis, promising that one day he would be driving one of his F1 cars. The rest as they say is history.

2015 FKS Champions Ross Martin (Super FKS), Tom Wood (FKS Junior), Dexter Patterson (Super Cadet) and Joseph Taylor (Cadet) will be hoping to follow in Lewis’ footsteps when the event takes place this Sunday, and will be joined on the FKS table by former Formula One World Champion Emerson Fittipaldi who’s son Emo raced in the final rounds of FKS this year ahead of a full Championship assault in 2016.

The sixteen round, eight weekend 2016 Formula Kart Stars Championship kicks off on the 8-10th April 2016. With almost 70% of the grid already full, next year is set to be an even bigger year for the Sky Sports F1 televised championship.
