The joint managing director of Buckmore Park karting circuit in kent which was acquired by former F1 Champion John Surtees earlier this year, has decided to step down from his position.
Chris Pullman was given the position in April, after motorsport legend John Surtees acquired Buckmore Park Karting Ltd and Buckmore Park Kart Club Ltd.
Pullman said he would be departing on 30 September to “pursue other opportunities”. He had worked for Bill Sisley, the previous operator of the circuit, for many years as general manager.
John Surtees has announced the appointment of Steve Hollman as joint managing director to succeed Pullman. Mike Griffiths, former director of Land Securities for many years, will continue as joint managing director and be in charge of property developments.
Surtees said: “Steve brings with him extensive knowledge of the motorsport industry and junior motorsport, through his previous association with the highly respected and successful Carlin racing organisation.
“He joins us at a very exciting time; there are huge opportunities and challenges ahead as we continue to improve its facilities and accelerate our growth strategy.”
Surtees, 81, is the only man to win world championships on both motorcycles and cars.
