European KF Junior ace Max Fewtrell says his strong start to the season has enabled him to target international title glory this year. The 14-year-old claimed second place in the season opening Winter Cup in Lonato and followed that up by taking victory in the recent final round of the WSK Champions Cup, finishing second in the points behind Ricky Flynn Motorsport team-mate Enaam Ahmed. Fewtrell said the experience gained from his maiden year of international racing last season has been a major influence on his form. “I’m definitely more prepared this year than this time last season,” Fewtrell said. “I’m training much more and feel fitter. Along with the pre-season winter training, I feel I’m able challenge at a higher level.” MAX TARGETS EUROPEAN GLORY Fewtrell said working alongside Ahmed, who has already taken major European wins so far this year, is paying dividends. “By working together, we’re able to better plan ahead of the finals,” he added. “I’m gaining confidence by consistently challenging at the front so far and that’s will help me to go for European and World titles this season.”
