European KF Junior champion Lando Norris admits to have had a disappointing start to his first year in KF racing after struggling in the opening races of the season. The 14-year-old sustained a double fracture to his wrist in a crash at the opening race weekend of the season at the Winter Cup at Lonato in Italy last month. Norris followed up on his Winter Cup disappointment with a ninth place finish at the opening round of the WSK Champions Cup at La Conca. “I was struggling quite a bit with my wrist, and as the weekend wore on, it was starting to hurt more and more,” Norris said. “I’m wearing a cast on track so it’s quite limiting on corners, but hopefully I’ll be 100 per cent in three or four weeks. “It’s been a disappointing start to KF. After doing so well in KF Junior, I think I expected it to be a bit easier and then there’s the wrist injury on top. But I have to work a lot harder now and when I get myself to 100 per cent I hope to be doing a lot better.”
