Northamptonshire motorsport circuit, Whilton Mill has installed the all-in-one track display solution, DiGi-Flag. The new track display development from Sports Timing Systems has solved the issue of relaying information and warnings when there are two drivers on circuit with the same race number.
By using different background colours respective to the actual number plates, DiGi-Flag is able to communicate individual driver instructions during split grids.
Whilton Mill circuit manager, Graeme Smith said: “The team have worked tirelessly to improve the circuit and facilities for both drivers and spectators.
“With the addition of DiGi-Flag to the circuit, Whilton Mill now offers one of the best karting experiences in the UK for both professional drivers and recreational activities.
The track display’s LED screen is operated by an official from race control and provides superior visibility over traditional flags and manual boards.
