Reigning MSA British IAME and Comer Cadet champion Oliver York is in talks to compete in the British KF Junior pooled engine
class this season with ART GP.
The 12-year-old claimed the cadet title at last season’s final round of the season at Shenington and had already signed a deal with Coles Racing for a graduation into this year’s MiniMax championship.
“Oliver drove for us before his final two years with Fusion Motorsport in cadets,” Zipkart boss Grant Munro said.
“So there was already a mutual appreciation. At the end of last season his only viable option was MiniMax, but his father also wanted some KF experience this year which could then lead to a possible assault on the European KF Junior championships in 2015, and hopefully a round later this year. We are in discussions to make that happen.
“The KF Junior class needs to takes place for the good of British karting this season.”
