OK, so it doesn’t get anywhere clsoe to the fun you’d get from driving a KZ kart, but let’s be honest, you don’t have to shell out £2,000 to rebuild the engine either.
If you haven’t heard of Assen, it’s an amazing fast and flowing circuit in Holland, it famously hosts the MotoGP motorcycles and World Superbike races. What better track to race a Superkart?
There are some serious karts in this video, KF2, Rotax Max, Shifter. Scroll to the 2-minute mark to watch the action and then check out the 5m45 mark to see the Shifter kart wipe the floor.
Not the best piece of driving but gives a good view of the track.
