Ben Barnicoat has become the first Person ever to win two GP plates on the same day with two inspired drives in the senior Rotax and X30 classes. Ben now has 5 GP plates to his name beating the likes of Gary Catt and Mark Litchfield, he is second only to the 7 titles held by Michael Simpson

In Senior Max Ben won all of the heats before taking a convincing lights to flag victory controlling the race from the front, closley followed by Josh Collings and Ash Hand. After some brief celebrations he jumped from the parade car into his X30 senior kart where he climbed up through the field from 10th place to an eventual win, despite the constant threat from Danny Keirle and Oliver Hodgson in what was considered to be one of the most competitive grids ever with 15 previous Kartmasters titles on the grid.

Here’s what Ben had to say after the event…

” I’m feeling absolutely amazing! To be the first person to ever win it twice in a day is great because that’s something that nobody can ever change now,  it’s a great achievement”
